A long Lake District day from Ennerdale over passes and along valleys toward Borrowdale. Expect sustained climbing on rocky paths with big views when cloud lifts - classic Cumbrian terrain at its best.
Rosthwaite is a village deep in Borrowdale with pubs and B&Bs. Wet rock and steep descents make this one of the more demanding stages on the western half of the route.
